JSC Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod (hereinafter referred to as JSC PTZ) is a subsidiary of JSC Kirovsky Zavod - one of the oldest machine-building enterprises of Russia, founded in 1801.
Kirovsky Zavod is an ancestor for the domestic tractor industry - first tractors were manufactured in 1924.
The trade mark Kirovets - the main and the well-known brand of JSC PTZ company. July 2012 marks the 50-th anniversary since the release of the first serial of the Kirovets tractor.
JSC PTZ was and remains the only national producer of powerful multipurpose wheeled agricultural tractors. Totally, 470,000 Kirovets tractors were made.
Now the factory carries out a mass production of 8 modifications of agricultural Kirovets tractors series К-744Р with 300 -450 HP capacity, 17 types of road-building and special vehicles made on the basis of industrial Kirovets tractors.
Current equipment is guaranteed by after-sales and support services through a wide network of representative offices and dealer centers (50 centers in Russia and CIS).
In 2014, the mass production of the new generation of heavy agricultural Kirovets tractors series К-744Р was launched.
The company is actively involved in state supply programs of equipment to agricultural producers through JSC Rosagroleasing and by the Government Decree No. 1432.
JSC PTZ consists of five main workshops, which provide the entire production cycle of and all necessary support services. The total area of industrial and logistics premises is about 120 000 sq. m.
The company is fitted with a modern high-tech equipment, it is planned to spend more than 0.5 billion rubles for technical re-equipment, modernization of production and R&D for 2015 – 2018.

In 2015, KIROVETS regained the lead in the Russian segment of wheeled tractors with 250 HP and more capacity. Market share in this segment amounted to 62%.
The company actively develops a social infrastructure, improving the employee’s working conditions. It had spent more than 150 million rubles to perform repair works as well as reconstruction of production, support and household premises in 2012-2014.
